Love Languages

Have you ever felt like your heart is just 100% full? Or maybe that you didn't feel love at all? That could be because of your love language. Now you're thinking, seriously love doesn't have languages. Yep, it does :) There are five main ones and many individual ones within the %.
1) Acts of Service.
-Do you like to help people? Do you feel loved when people do something for you? This is my Mother's love language and I tell you, she acts a whole lot different when we help her clean house or cook different, she feels loved.
2) Words or Affirmation
-Do you tell people encouraging things all the time? Do you feel loved when told you are doing an excellent job or are being encouraged? My brother has this language and when we nag on him and discourage him he starts to feel unloved. But when we encourage him and build his spirit up with words his love tank fills up.
3) Receiving Gifts
-Are you constantly looking for ways to surprise friends or family with gifts? Maybe you feel loved when you get something from someone. It could be a handwritten note or flowers or even a bigger gift. Your tank fills up.  This is a fun language, just like the others go ahead and experiment on ways to show people love.
4) Quality Time
-Do you live for the days you can just spend time with friends or family? Do you love when you sit and just talk with others? My language is this one and I get really grumpy and not nice when I don't talk and spend time with others. Even sitting and talking to my Mom at night on her bed for 15 minutes helps me feel loved. When I sit and snuggle with my Grandpa on his couch and watch the news. I feel loved, because these people are spending time with me.
5) Physical Touch
-This language can be shown in a fast number of ways. From just simple holding hands to massaging shoulders. My father has this language, he loves to give hugs! So when he comes home, there is a hug and when we are out shopping he'll hold hands with Mom.

So figure out what language you are and the people around you and start showing love the way they accept it. Showing love to a Physical touch person by giving him gifts won't work as well if you don't show him his language. So show love by a person's language. Its the best way :)

What can I do?

Lately I have had lots of revelations and/or convictions.  What am I doing as of now for Christ?  Am I a fan of Jesus or a follower? Have I done anything for Him lately?
Well the answer to these questions in my life are all pretty depressing.  So I decided that I would look into what I can do as a teen.  Before asking God to make me a better Christian outside the home I need to work on things inside the home.  This is hard for me because although I have good relationships with my sisters, my brothers are another story.  Yes, I do love them but I have a hard time showing them that I do.  So I'll be working on that until I get better.  Then I've asked God about what I can do outside the home.  Since I have a small youth group I can plan a one Saturday a month volunteering somewhere around our county.  I want to be on fire for God, he is my life and my light.  He will carry us all through our trials and laugh with us when we have our joy days.  He is our Father. . .no not the guy that stands over you and gives you a bunch of rules.  God is our Father, the kind that will comfort you when you just want to cry.  The kind of Father that will kiss you ever so sweetly as you leave for a test, the kind that gives you strong and truthful advice, that loves you no matter how many times we fail.  He is our FATHER.   Praise God for that, yes?

Prisoner of Christ

What does Prisoner of Christ Jesus mean? We all know that Paul was a prisoner and in chains but how do we become a prisoner of Jesus Christ?
1) We need to sacrifice our entire beings ( Romans 12:1)
2) We need to Love God and our fellow brothers and sisters above all (Deuteronomy 6:5 & Leviticus 19:18)
3) Go, make disciples and baptize in the name of the Father , the Son and the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19

I think these (notice this is just my opinion) three things are the basics.  Sure God has a lot of other things we need to follow and be totally committed to, but I think these are the things God wants to  focus on the most.  Sacrificing ourselves so he can bend us to His will.  Loving Him and other people so we will do what he asks for others.  And last making disciples and preaching His Word, God wants us to help save people, to spread His word like wildfire!

I think this is what Paul did, he sacrificed himself, loved God and people and went out to make disciples! He even made some while in prison!  Now that is what I call a follower! He could've sat and sulked but NO! He preached! So lets all set out to be Pauls today or better yet mini Christs.  Because that is what God calls us to do!

Sent from Heaven

For all those new parents out there, here is a poem I wrote :)

After two, fell in love
There came a third from above.
Riding the wind all the way
To the arms where it would stay.

Love would wrap around it's life
Papa would wonder at his wife.
While Mama laughs and sweetly sings
Little songs that rhyme and ring.

The smallest gift that God can give
Happens to be one he made to live.
To walk and jump and play
Across the earth every day.

*The List*

What I want to achieve before too long. . .
1) Full blown servant for God, opening myself up for what ever he puts in front of me
2) A better sister and daughter, a young woman that is selfless and full of God
3) A role model, one that is humble, but willing to be there for other young women
4) An encourager far greater than the norm. . .one that God would be pleased with
5) Willing to accept the will of God, take things the devil throws and hand them to God
6) A cheerleader for God, a young woman ready to stand up and proclaim God's Word

Nothing Is Impossible With God!!! I can become those things, but only through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Tell me what you would like to be for God  : D

What are you living for?

"Is what you live for worth dying for?"

idols. . .gods. . .addictions. . .you can call them anything you want but they are there.  Here are a few.

*Money
*Relationships
*Shopping/Clothes
*Appearance
*Work/jobs

Do these sound familiar? They do to me.  Like any human being I have trouble with 'other' idols, apart from God.  I have to constantly remind myself that my eyes need to be on God and not on worldly things.  God talks about storing up the right kind of treasures in Matthew 6:19-24.  I think Mary had it right, she treasured up what she experienced and pondered it on her heart, in Luke 2:19.  Paul also says we need to think on whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, and if anything is excellent or praiseworthy. Those are the things we need to think on and ponder.  :) So try that, whenever you are pondering things ask yourself if they meet the qualifications of above.

So what are you living for?  Are you living for that next paycheck so you can go shopping?  Are you living for the next set of new make-up?  Are you living for that moment that you get to see that special someone?  We should be living in a way that glorifies God.

Rise and Sing!!!

If you were bound but now you're free, rise & sing, rise & sing.
Lift up a shout of victory, rise & sing, rise & sing.

Our God is risen and reigning and we're elevating the glory of our God and King, everybody rise & sing.

It's in your heart rings a melody, rise & sing, rise & sing.
If you have tasted and you have seen, rise & sing, rise & sing.

Our God is risen and reigning and we're elevating the glory of our God and King, everybody rise & sing.

Let the redeemed of the Lord sing hallelujah, hallelujah.
Let the redeemed of the Lord sing our God reigns, our God reigns.

Let the redeemed of the Lord sing hallelujah, hallelujah.
Let the redeemed of the Lord sing our God reigns, our God reigns.

Our God is risen and reigning and we're elevating the glory of our God and King.
'Cause Our God is risen and reigning and we're elevating the glory of our God and King
'Cause Our God is risen and reigning and we're elevating the glory of our God and King, everybody rise & sing.
