Love Languages

Have you ever felt like your heart is just 100% full? Or maybe that you didn't feel love at all? That could be because of your love language. Now you're thinking, seriously love doesn't have languages. Yep, it does :) There are five main ones and many individual ones within the %.
1) Acts of Service.
-Do you like to help people? Do you feel loved when people do something for you? This is my Mother's love language and I tell you, she acts a whole lot different when we help her clean house or cook different, she feels loved.
2) Words or Affirmation
-Do you tell people encouraging things all the time? Do you feel loved when told you are doing an excellent job or are being encouraged? My brother has this language and when we nag on him and discourage him he starts to feel unloved. But when we encourage him and build his spirit up with words his love tank fills up.
3) Receiving Gifts
-Are you constantly looking for ways to surprise friends or family with gifts? Maybe you feel loved when you get something from someone. It could be a handwritten note or flowers or even a bigger gift. Your tank fills up.  This is a fun language, just like the others go ahead and experiment on ways to show people love.
4) Quality Time
-Do you live for the days you can just spend time with friends or family? Do you love when you sit and just talk with others? My language is this one and I get really grumpy and not nice when I don't talk and spend time with others. Even sitting and talking to my Mom at night on her bed for 15 minutes helps me feel loved. When I sit and snuggle with my Grandpa on his couch and watch the news. I feel loved, because these people are spending time with me.
5) Physical Touch
-This language can be shown in a fast number of ways. From just simple holding hands to massaging shoulders. My father has this language, he loves to give hugs! So when he comes home, there is a hug and when we are out shopping he'll hold hands with Mom.

So figure out what language you are and the people around you and start showing love the way they accept it. Showing love to a Physical touch person by giving him gifts won't work as well if you don't show him his language. So show love by a person's language. Its the best way :)

What can I do?

Lately I have had lots of revelations and/or convictions.  What am I doing as of now for Christ?  Am I a fan of Jesus or a follower? Have I done anything for Him lately?
Well the answer to these questions in my life are all pretty depressing.  So I decided that I would look into what I can do as a teen.  Before asking God to make me a better Christian outside the home I need to work on things inside the home.  This is hard for me because although I have good relationships with my sisters, my brothers are another story.  Yes, I do love them but I have a hard time showing them that I do.  So I'll be working on that until I get better.  Then I've asked God about what I can do outside the home.  Since I have a small youth group I can plan a one Saturday a month volunteering somewhere around our county.  I want to be on fire for God, he is my life and my light.  He will carry us all through our trials and laugh with us when we have our joy days.  He is our Father. . .no not the guy that stands over you and gives you a bunch of rules.  God is our Father, the kind that will comfort you when you just want to cry.  The kind of Father that will kiss you ever so sweetly as you leave for a test, the kind that gives you strong and truthful advice, that loves you no matter how many times we fail.  He is our FATHER.   Praise God for that, yes?
